Artek 65 Chair by Alvar Aalto (Blue)

Artek 65 dining chairs designed by Alvar Aalto. Model 65 is the version with the lower backrest compared to Model 66 that has the same shape backrest but higher. This chair was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935. They're made in Finland from solid birch wood, with a veneered laminated backrest and linoleum seat. Alvar Aalto created a way to bend the wood by carving slits in them, curve them and then glue them.

The chairs have blue vinyl upholstery and they are from the 1960s. They're in great condition with normal signs of wear as can be seen in the pictures.
